Lake icicles

Very interesting icicle formation on a twig suspended above a lake. The air was below freezing but the water was still above freezing in this photo dated Dec 8, 2017. As the waves moved the water up and down the contact with the twig left residual water that froze into these bulbous shapes at the low points. There is even small leaf-like object that was trapped in the middle icicle.
