Raw Power

Niagara Falls has long been used as a source of hydro-electric electricity and the qualities of this photograph begin to show why. Taken at a relatively quick 1/1000th’s of a sec and with minimal processing, the water retains its texture and power necessary in power generation. What this photo fails to show well is the scale which is 51 m (167 ft) from base to top and 2.58 million litres (681,750 gallons) of water flow over the Horseshoe section of the falls per second.
